How it works

One requirement. Existing supply first.

Tell NaraDatum what human data you need. We check suitable existing supply first, source privately where needed, verify the relevant evidence and rights, and only scope buyer-funded collection when existing supply cannot meet the requirement.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Submit the requirement

Tell us the model or use case, training or evaluation purpose, languages, speaker profile, environment, volume, rights, metadata, technical requirements, timeline and budget.

    Submit a requirement →

  2. 02

Step 2: NaraDatum qualifies the brief

We clarify intended use, acceptance criteria, security, procurement path and commercial feasibility before treating the brief as ready for supply review.

  3. 03

Step 3: Check suitable existing supply

We review possible existing datasets against the requirement before commissioning any new collection.

  4. 04

Step 4: Managed sourcing where needed

Where the first review does not identify a fit, NaraDatum searches relevant supplier coverage and reviews the specific supply, rights position and provenance against the brief.

  5. 05

Step 5: Controlled sample + Dataset Passport

Where appropriate, the next step is a funded pilot with controlled sample access and a Dataset Passport, so the buyer can review what was declared, documented, tested and left unverified.

  6. 06

    Step 6: Evaluate fit

We assess technical quality, language authenticity, metadata, transcripts or annotation, rights, provenance, privacy risk, intended-use suitability and known limitations.

  7. 07

    One of two outcomes.

    Step 7A

    Step 7A: Licence + deliver

If existing supply fits, complete commercial terms, licence and secure delivery.

    Step 7B

    Step 7B: Buyer-funded custom collection

Only if existing supply cannot meet the requirement. Collection is scoped separately against the accepted brief.

Start with the requirement

NaraDatum will tell you whether the next step is existing supply review, managed sourcing or a separately scoped collection.
